Its been almost one year since the fatal fire next door to my house, and nothing has been done.
I used to ride an e-bike myself but I wont feel safe again until I know batteries are being charged outdoors.

My grandparents and mother live in public housing and every time I see someone bringing an ebike inside I get scared that they won't be able to safely evacuate in case of a fire.
I want my grandfather to start using a mobility scooter, but we need a safe battery swap network so he can ride everywhere without getting stranded.

I've put tens of thousands of miles on my mobility scooter delivering for delivery apps such as Uber Eats and Grubhub.
If there was a safe swappable battery network, more seniors and mobility challenged individuals such as myself, could make extra money as gig workers and live a more independent life.

I live in an apartment with 3 other delivery riders and we all charge batteries there all the time even though we know its not safe. There are children who live above us. God forbid something should happen.
We would love to have a solution that could keep us riding longer and charge safer. Sometimes I turn off my bike lights at night to save battery power. A swappable battery network would make it safer for us, both inside our houses and as we ride on the street.
